The rising star maintains impressive online presence
The young golfer will have numerous prominent backers when she begins her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is related to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple international courses and regularly matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's quite busy."
Being non-professional, the golfer has competed in a mere three competitions this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
However she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, following the flow."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, including world number two Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence brings the sport to wider groups, specifically reaching youth audiences.
The young star has millions of followers and recently launched an exclusive fashion and living company.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
